Friday: on the go

Robbie and I got to Canada on Friday afternoon and jumped right into the Schiller family reunion activities.

First on the list: jet skiing near Belle Isle.

We met up with my younger cousins and had a blast zipping around the lake.

Here's Em and her studly Princeton hockey player boyfriend.

When Emily took Andrew for a ride on the jet ski, my 11-year-old cousin said, "Blondie likes to go fast!" It made me and Robbie laugh out loud.

Me figuring out how to drive this thing.

Our super trailer-trash-looking picture. We both forgot bathing suits, so Robbie wore his basketball shorts and I wore my sports bra and white shorts. So classy.

There's Belle Isle!

After jet skiing, we rushed off to help set up the banquet room for dinner. Check out that sweet sign I made:

One thing that my family is really great at is keeping a record of family history. There was a table set up at dinner with all sorts of cool, historical family document.

A picture of my great grandparents, mamere & papere (the Schillers are very French).

Our family tree. This one was made in 1993, so it's grown quite a bit since then. This tree shows my great grandparents' 16 children and their families.

Some bridge club records.

Families showing up to the reunion.

We even had our family name on the sign! :)

After the reunion dinner, we headed to my Aunt Irene's for some post-party martinis and games. Here's Robbie and me at about 1 a.m. looking pretty haggard!

Our buddies for the weekend: Andrew & Emily.

Tomorrow I'll share Saturday's reunion events!!
