Happy Monday, y'all.

Happy Monday, y'all! (Working hard to work "y'all" into my everyday voacbulary...)

This sidewalk heart was taken at Hop Doddy on South Congress this weekend. I've walked past this place dozens of times and could never bring myself to stand in its wrapped-around-the-corner, huge-ass line. But I finally did, and it was so, so worth it.

This burger joint has the BEST burgers I've ever tasted. It was so good that I didn't even pull out my camera to snap a picture of it!

Monday. Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed for this week? If you are, let's take on the world this week. We can get it all done!

Some happy March news to kick-start this week:

1. My birthday is on Sunday! The big 2-3.

2. HUNGER GAMES PREMIERES THIS MONTH!!

3. Babies are popping out everywhere! Natalie just had her baby yesterday. Little Blaire was 5 weeks early. Keep her in your thoughts & prayers!

4. From my favorite blog ever- Josh Downs returned safely home from Afghanistan. Post a happy note on Karen's blog. I'm sure she'd love to see it.

5. March is for trying new things. My sister, Page, is starting a calligraphy class. Robbie starts hockey. And I will be going to my second photography class tonight.

Happy Monday, y'all. Let's make it a good one.

You saltlicker.

On Sunday, Morgan, Robbie and I met up with some of Morgan's parents' friends for dinner at The Saltlick. I thought The Saltlick would be a nice little BBQ place. I was wrong. It's a tiny BBQ TOWN!

The restaurant is so huge it really seemed like a little village. We had to wait for an hour to be seated, but man oh man it was so worth it.

Morgan and Robbie posing so nicely for the camera.

There was even live music while we waited!

The men got the all you can eat plates. For your own reference, the plates in front of Robbie are the non-all you can eat dinners. Imagine how MUCH those men had to eat to get their all you can eat money's worth!

Up tomorrow: the last of Morgan's trip!

Big Mo.

The one and only Morgan Stuart came to Austin.

In case you didn't Wikipedia her, here's what makes Morgan so awesome:

1. She won a softball national championship with the University of Washington her sophomore year. She's basically the best softball player ever. Now she's running clinics everywhere- Canada, Alaska, Washington, San Diego... she even had one here but it was canceled because of the rain.
So studly.

2. Morgan has the greatest sense of humor. We officially became friends when we bonded on the ride home from a high school softball game by quoting SNL's Best Of Will Ferrell lines. Nobody knows Will like Morgan does.

3. Morgan's a Stuart and that means she's freakishly athletic, very humble, extremely motivated and genuinely kind. The entire Stuart family is awesome.

So I got to spend two and a half days with this little lady and show her around Austin. I'm sorry, let me rephrase: I had two and a half days to convince her to MOVE to Austin (wishful thinking). I think it worked...

One of the many adventures we went on this weekend was a trip to Torchy's Tacos.

Austin has this obsession with tacos. It's totally an Austin or Texas thing because I had never heard of breakfast tacos or any taco place, really, in California that was bombdiggity. Burritos are the hot thing in California.

Let me tell you. Torchy's is where it's at.

Robbie was the third wheel this weekend and he was such a trooper. He drove us everywhere.

I know I gush about how wonderful Robbie is which can get a little disgusting at times. I love the boy, I really do. One thing that drives me absolutely nuts about him, though, is his sense of direction.

He could get lost walking down the street.

So imagine my surprise when he totally outsmarted me when driving to Torchy's on 1st Street. I insisted that there wasn't one there and turns out, he was right! AND he got us there in record time without getting lost.

My b, Robbie. You win.

Torchy's is amazing. I discovered The Democrat taco and it's now officially my favorite. I was obsessed with the shrimp one since I moved here, but The Democrat takes the cake.

Roberto. Goofball.

Torchy's was stealing all the action. This little vegetarian trailer was looking pretty lonely.

Love this picture of Morgan. Totally her.

I wish all of my friends lived close to me.

More pictures from Morgan's visit tomorrow!
