Hugo's happy hour.

I have to be honest.

Making friends in a new city is hard. And believe me, working from home doesn't help the situation.

Which is why I was so stoked to meet up with some fellow lady bloggers for a happy hour at Hugo's! We all agreed it was kind of like going on a blind date, except this was way more fun. We drank margaritas, had a tasty dinner and chatted like we were old friends.

Totally looking forward to happy hour round two with our little blogging crew!

*Mallorie was so sweet! She brought a cd of her husband's amazing work for each of us! Shay and I even met up with Mallorie on Friday to hear Dave play. He was fantastic. Be sure to check out his music here.

My hot date.

(Lety at G'raj Mahal)
Meet Lety.

Remember in my last post how I had a $50 bar tab for buying two bottles of champagne on New Years Eve? That's the night I met Lety. We, obviously, have been friends ever since.

Since Robbie has his first hockey game on Saturday night, Lety's going to be my hot date at the Texas Style Council's Poshmark Party. Clothes, bloggers, fashion, photobooths... the Poshmark party's going to be a hit. As much as Robbie LOVES blogging and fashion, I'm pretty sure Lety's going to have a much better time than Robbie probably would on Saturday.

I can't wait to share TxSC conference photos all next week!

Being a Stuart.

A couple more photos from Morgan's trip. These make me sad. I wish she were back in Austin, where she belongs!

Like I keep telling you, Morgan is a Stuart and being a Stuart means you're basically an athletic GOD.

Morgan's Godly pose.

For those Wikipedia enthusiasts out there (I heart Wikipedia), Morgan Stuart is related to the wonderful John Stuart. Her dad, John, played football for the University of Texas back in the day and was picked up by the Miami dolphins after graduating.

Pretty awesome, right?

Needless to say, Morgan and her brothers are amazingly athletically gifted. Their mom, Rowena, is the biggest cheerleader I know. She should seriously be a motivational speaker. Rowena encourages and inspires her kids to push themselves and be the best they can be in everything. With John's amazing talents and Rowena's drive, the Stuart kids have worked their butts off to be crazy-awesome athletes. Morgan won a softball national championship. Caleb just beat the University of California of Riverside's record in hammer throwing. And their youngest, Johnny, is a studly high school football player just like his dad.

So since John went to UT for undergrad, Robbie and I drove Morgan around campus real quick so she could see where her dad played football for four years.

Morgan Stuart, you come back to Austin ASAP!

I have SO much going on: photography class, yoga, TxSC blogger conference... AND some exciting, soon-to-be announced news. I can't wait to share it with you all.

Happy Monday!
